Senior Vice President, Mall and Outlet Leasing
John S. Mastin’s career has spanned thirty years, beginning with The Rouse Company where he spent twenty three years and rose from leasing trainee to Vice President Assistant Director of Leasing. Mr. Mastin began his career leasing Exton Square in Exton, Pennsylvania and Paramus Park in Paramus, New Jersey, and was then promoted to Senior Leasing Representative. In this capacity he was responsible for the economics, pace and merchandising of the various projects assigned to him.
Mr. Mastin left The Rouse Company to take a position as Executive Vice President Director of Leasing for Prime Retail, an outlet developer operator in Baltimore Maryland. In this position Mr. Mastin was responsible for thirteen million square feet of outlet shopping center space and a leasing staff of sixteen leasing representatives.
Mr. Mastin left Prime Retail to assume a position with Gator Investments based in North Miami Beach, Florida. In this position he led the corporate shopping center acquisition effort. His responsibilities included evaluating retail properties for possible acquisition as well as assisting in big box leasing for some of Gators’ grocery anchored strip centers.
He now works as a consultant with Woodmont Company, and Mastin Associates, providing valuable business experience to clients nationwide.
